Help your salespeople offer the right products

And to save time

First and foremost, only the Odoo 'Sales' application is required to use this functionality.

Installing the feature

From the Sales / Configuration / Settings menu, add the "Product Configurator" function:

Let's put ourselves in the shoes of a smartphone retailer. When a seller offers a smartphone, a whole range of additional items can be offered. These items add value for the buyer. In our example, we're talking about headphones or protection, for example.

=> In your item files (in the 'Sales' tab), you can add these 'optional' items.


You can of course apply this configuration to all the items of your choice.

Creating a quote and selecting optional items

Once these configurations have been applied, your sales staff will never forget to offer these optional items to your customers.

When you create a quotation and add the 'main' product to a quotation line, the user is given the option of adding the optional products defined, in a simple and intuitive way.


As you can see, in just a few minutes and a few clicks, you can save your users time and potentially increase your sales.

We have used the smartphone resale sector to illustrate this configuration, but it is applicable to all business sectors.
